Trip Report
We arrived in Leavenworth on Friday afternoon and found a campsite down Icicle Creek Canyon on some Forest Service Land for the night after dropping a car at the Stuart Lake/Colchuck Lake TH. Then, we woke up around 5:30 and made our way towards the Snow Creek trailhead getting there around 7am. We probably should have started earlier, but we enjoyed our sleep!
We left the trailhead and started hiking up the Snow Creek switchbacks on the great trail. We took our first break at Nada Lakes and enjoyed the view. It was somewhat cloudy, but great temps. We then headed up towards Snow Lakes and got our feet wet crossing the dam between the two lakes. Then, we continued up the rooty, bouldery trail to Lake Viviane. Such a beautiful lake!
We then made our way around to where the trail leads off towards Prussik Peak and turned to head up towards Prussik Pass. From the pass we turned West following the broad ridge to a short steep section, then a nice graded sandy slope to the summit.
The summit block has a short Class 3/4 section, but the holds are good and the rock is solid, so we found it pretty straightforward. All three of us sat on the summit spot together as it was a cool 5 by 5 flat rock on top.

We headed down and took a break out of the wind. All day the weather had been a bit unruly, but now the visibility was degrading and there were some snow flurries. So we made our way back to Prussik Pass and headed towards Aasgard Pass to complete the Enchantments point to point hike. We had moved slower than expected and the day was getting late. We had all accepted that this would be a much later night than we had originally planned and knew the only way out was just to keep going.
We made our way through the core zone with wind and poor visibility. Dropped off of Aasgard Pass, making our way tediously down the loose pass to Colchuck Lake where we took a break and got ready to hike into the darkness. We hiked down from Colchuck Lake via headlamp and then back to the trailhead arriving around 12:30am. Long day, but full hearts for the adventure that we all just had. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to see the mountains in all types of light and weather.
